Tracy McGrady: "I feel that if I go out there right now I could get somebody 30 (points)."

MARK BERMAN
HOUSTON - Houston Rockets star Tracy McGrady guarantees he will return to the Rockets for the 2009-2010 season and that he will be a major factor.

McGrady had microfracture surgery five months ago on his left knee and there is speculation he would miss most of, if not all of the upcoming season, and that his career could be in jeopardy.

McGrady spoke with FOX 26 Sports from Chicago where he is working out.

"It's really no comparison to how I feel now and I how felt trying to play all of last season," McGrady said. "My knee is feeling extremely strong. The most important thing is I'm confident in it. You guys just stay tuned. I'm out here grinding in Chicago, trying to get back right, but yes I will be playing for the Rockets in the '09-10 season.

"I will be in uniform for the Rockets this upcoming season, I guarantee you that, and I will be a lot better than I was last year. I will be back to the player that I once was.

"I will guarantee you that."

McGrady doesn't know when he will rejoin the Rockets, but he believes it'll be sooner rather than later.

"I'm not really worrying about a target date right now," McGrady said. The most important thing is just to get myself healthy, which I'm confident that I will be for this upcoming season.

"I feel that if I go out there right now I could get somebody 30 (points)."

Today's Throwback Album: Puff Daddy and the Family - No Way Out

This album is a classic. The glory days of hip-hop. I miss the days when you used to get rewarded for lyricism.

Nas: 'I Was a Hell of a Husband and a Hell of a Dad'

By Chris Richburg
The latest news involving Nas’ situation with his ex-wife Kelis was deemed as nothing more than “funny s**t” by the rapper, who seemed to be taken aback by the public’s interest in his personal happenings.

Nas’ reaction comes days after the birth of his Knight and rumors surrounding his divorce from Kelis.

Although she filed for divorce in April, Kelis hinted to infidelity on the part of the Queensbridge lyricist with a June 4 post on Twitter, that blasted husbands who cheated on their wives.

Nas, who maintained he never cheated on Kelis, further touted his good standing in the relationship while admitting to some natural shortcomings as human.

“I heard that I was a cheater,” the rapper told Vancouver, Canada’s Georgia Straight newspaper. “It almost sounds like I was a bad husband. Not to say I was the greatest—I’m not perfect in anything I do—but I think I deserve a f***ing trophy. If I do say so myself, without sounding too cocky, I gotta say I was a hell of a husband and a hell of a dad.”

Kayne West Responsible For Reggie Bush/Kim Kardashian Break Up?

Chicago MC Kanye West has been the subject of many conversations this week.

From allegedly proclaiming himself as the new King Of Pop a mere 36 days after the death of Michael Jackson, to now being rumored to be the reason celebrity couple Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian called it quits.

According to Fox News, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush's split wasn't as amicable as they're making it out to be.

A source tells the paper that racy text messages from Kanye may have been the boiling point.

"Reggie saw text messages on Kim's phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her," the source tells Fox.

"The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie's imagination running," says the source.

When Reggie confronted Kim about it, the couple had a huge blow-up, and jealousy issues, which had been pretty much kept out of their relationship until this incident ,surfaced, according to the insider.

"They realized there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn't go forward," says the source.

Bush and the celebutard began dating in April of 2007.

Lamar Odom Staying Put

Free agent forward Lamar Odom will return to the Los Angeles Lakers, an NBA source said Thursday.
One source with knowledge of the talks told ESPN.com the four-year deal is worth $33 million if the Lakers exercise the final season.
Odom
The source said Odom will come away with a guaranteed $27 million from the new contract, matching the original value of the three-year, $27 million deal Lakers owner Jerry Buss pulled off the table earlier this month.
It's believed that the structure of the new deal calls for Odom to earn $25 million over the first three seasons, with the Lakers owing him $2 million in the fourth year if they elect not to pick up their team option.
Reached Thursday evening, Odom's agent, Jeff Schwartz, declined to discuss specifics but confirmed that the sides have an agreement in principle.
Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak declined comment.

Vick to Seahawks?

The idea that Michael Vick could land in Seattle has been mentioned to me by multiple league sources over the past couple of days.
From what I’ve heard, new Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora had a great relationship with Vick while the two were in Atlanta – despite the negative reports circulating through the rumor mill right now – and that he actually “cares” about the former Falcon and his future. I’ve also been told that, from a public relations standpoint, Seattle would offer Vick some protection from the media since it isn’t a city that draws the kind of overwhelming national attention as a Dallas or a Pittsburgh.
